Smoked Potatoes With Apple Rum BBQ Sauce

Maine is a big potato producer and being from northern Maine, also known as The County, potatoes were everywhere. There are so many great ways to enjoy potatoes so of course I just had to try doing them in the smoker!  I've prepared potatoes many ways over the years but combining them with cheese, bacon and our award winning Apple Rum Sauce is one of my favorites.   Even though I did these in the smoker you could easily do them in the oven.  Here's how: Wash potatoes- I use either round whites or russets.  Cook 3-4 bacon strips, cook and chop. And  what's a football game without game day goodies. Sauces make short work of throwing a party and make you look like the hostess with the mostest!! Using sauces for dipping is a great way to offer variety. Why not set up a dipping sauce bar with 3 or 4 of your favorite sauces with several items for dipping such as chicken nuggets, baked potato wedges, jalapeno poppers, cheese sticks, or popcorn chicken.  Good choices for dipping include Apple Rum Sauce, Honey Bourbon or Cherry Habanero. Who doesn't love meatballs? Try something...
